Instructions: The map loads so my real-time location is directly in the middle. You can use the map tool bar at the top left side of the map to maneuver and zoom. You can also click and drag the map and you can double click to zoom in on a specific area. Click on the thumbnails to see the larger photo and it’s location on the map. Click on “Show Blog Postings” and the tool bar will change to the blog postings on the map. Click again to return to the photography thumbnails. Postings, which include writings, sound clips or music and videos, are marked with a red indicator on the map. The closer you zoom in, the more you will discover!
About the project: For one month I will be driving a motorcycle throughout Vietnam. Starting in the North, at the nation’s capitol, I will explore the borders photographing the remnants of important moments in history and issues that affect the country in the face of development. Each evening I will upload the geo-tagged content to this interactive map to help educate others about Vietnam. This will be one of two month-long trips to help finish my book, “In the Footsteps of Ghosts”. You can learn more about the book and how to support it at the book fundraising site: www.inthefootstepsofghosts.com
